Painting Outside

I have very much enjoyed painting outside this year, making marks on paper, colouring the landscape; out of the box that is my studio. The smell of turps has been replaced with the smells of the countryside and the changing colours and constant moods that the elements evoke has been uplifting.  This and a year of playing tennis, cycling and swimming in the North Sea has created a sense of well being in me.
